The Centre for Human Agency

Policies

Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to read this site and take part in what the Centre does.

The site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. It can be navigated by keyboard, includes a skip-to-content link, uses proper headings and landmarks, provides text alternatives for images that carry information, keeps text resizable, and honours your device’s reduced-motion setting: decorative animation stops, and the homepage video is replaced by a still image with a button to play it if you choose. The video can be paused at any time with the control in its corner.

Some images, such as the speakers’ medallions in the Circle record, are decorative and are deliberately hidden from screen readers. The Circle record is a long document; it opens with a summary, five principal themes and a contents menu. Translations of the site are provisional pending review by native speakers.

If any part of this site is difficult for you to use, or you need its content in another format, please email info@centreforhumanagency.org. We will respond, and we will fix what we can.
